Planning a Dealer Demo Station for a Mixed Guitar Electronics Range
Plan repeatable, model-specific dealer demonstrations for a mixed guitar electronics range without relying on unverified claims.
A brand presenting several guitar electronics categories to dealers needs demonstrations that staff can reset and repeat. Choose the buyer question for each station before choosing equipment. One station might answer how a particular control works; another might show a model’s setup sequence. Each should use a sample whose identity and functions have been checked.

SoundSentry’s product overview includes amplifiers, wireless systems, pickups, effects and selected accessories. Those category photos are useful for planning a display, but they do not prove that two pictured devices work together or represent the version that will ship. Confirm the actual demonstration units and connections before writing instructions for staff.

Give each station one job
An amplifier station might let a dealer try the controls and connection options of a specific sample. If pairing is part of a wireless model’s operation, a separate station can show the verified setup and reset procedure. A pickup station needs the intended instrument and mounting context. Connect products together only after checking that exact signal path; otherwise keep stations separate so staff can identify which device is being demonstrated.
Write a one-page card for each station. It should identify the model and sample revision, the required instrument and cables, the starting settings, the steps to demonstrate, and the way back to the starting state. Mark any function that still needs verification. Staff should not improvise range, battery-life, compatibility or certification claims from a brochure headline.
| Before opening | During the demo | At handover |
| Confirm sample ID and equipment | Follow the approved sequence | Record the question the dealer asked |
| Check power, connections and volume | Note any unexpected behavior | Restore the starting settings |
| Keep current product information nearby | Avoid unsupported specifications | Flag a claim that needs technical confirmation |
Rehearse setup and reset
Ask someone who did not write the card to set up, run and reset the station. Note where they need help. If a sample uses an app, preset or pairing step, record the version or state needed for the demo. When a setup fails, move the dealer to another documented station; do not present that alternate setup as proof of the original product’s performance.
A dealer question can expose a missing claim approval. If the staff cannot confirm a specification or supported use, they should record the question and route it to the product owner. Update the card only after checking the model-level source. That is more reliable than a verbal answer that differs between events.
Request the right assets before the show
In the project brief, list the models to demonstrate, target market, expected audience, approved claims, instructions and images needed for the display. Ask who will provide current sample information and how a changed sample will trigger a card revision. Keep sample acceptance and market documents in their own approval records; an event card cannot stand in for them.
For a SoundSentry project, send the proposed station use cases and candidate models through the RFQ page so the discussion can focus on the actual units and materials available.
Frequently asked questions
Should several products be connected in one demo chain?
Only when that exact combination has been checked and the signal path is documented. Separate stations are easier to troubleshoot and explain.
What should staff do with a question they cannot verify?
Record the model, question and context, then ask the product owner for an approved answer before adding it to the demo card.
